Steve and Ruth Hurd moved from York in the summer of 2010 to lead the Ark Church in Huddersfield. Steve and Ruth previously led York City Church, a large Newfrontiers Church which they started in 1999. Before that they were part of Brickhill Baptist Church in Bedford.

Liam and his wife Amy moved to Huddersfield to help start the Ark Church after getting married. Liam works part-time for the Ark and his responsibilities include the day-to-day administration and communications of the Ark, working with students and regularly teaching and preaching on Sundays.
